I have an old tamiya rc car with decent electric motor and electronic speed controller, and the 2 channel radio gear and servos.

Is it possible to reuse these electrics to create a 2ch plane? Where can i buy a plane? Ideally, I would like to spend as little as possible, as it would just be for occasional fun in a nearby field.

Thanks

Ok thanks. I am suprised at the prices for radio gear and batteries they seem no more expensive than 10 years ago.

So I would be looking for 3 ch radio gear and plane, but reuse my motor. Or would it be simpler just to start from scratch and buy rtf? Any recommendations? Ideally the plane would be fairly small and compact and easy to fly (if the two are possible together) and under £100. I have had a look at the online shops and am a bit confused by the materials used, plus prices vary wildly. i guess that is to be expected, but at what price point do you get something usable. Cheers.

Thanks will have a look. Also looked at park zone stuff. Need a new hobby after selling my mx5. I'm in cardiff and I know a club flies at Former llandow airfiield 20 mins away so may try and get down there at some point.
