Thunder Tiger truck
Discussion
Hello radio-control folk ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
I just cleared a neighbours drive with the manitou and was standing in his garage having a chat. Fella had an radio control truck that he'd lost interest in so gave it to me as a small thank you.
I know very little about them, it's an mta4 apparently, has a transmitter but no glow plug and no body. No manual either. Looks barely used to be honest.
I have a few questions if you would be so kind!
There's a model shop 10 miles from here where I'll be able to get a glow plug, what else do I need? It has a pull-cord starter.
Fuel, obviously, are there different types of nitro fuel?
Will any kind of body (of the right size) fit?
Cheers,
Iain

Thanks!
I stopped in at my local model shop and asked them. I bought some 16% Nitro fuel, a new glow plug and a glow starter.
Can't start it![frown](/inc/images/frown.gif)
I drained the fuel tank and lines, cleaned the air filter. Put new fuel in and primed the carb. Turned it over a couple of times but slowly pulling the pull-start cord (but I have to wind it back in manually? Is that right?)
If I pull the cord to start it, nothign, not a sausage. The glowplug is definitely heating but there's obviously no fuel getting to the plug.
Any tips?![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
