Just thought I would share my experiences of some things that are new to me.

Vallejo paints and Photo Etch

Model is a Hasegawa 1/48th Mitsubishi A6M2B Zero

Paint was standard Vallejo model air paint, with a Humbrol enamel wash of heavily thinned down Black 33.

Nice to take pics of the finished parts as you see mistakes easier, have since touched up the binnacle at the top, laft hand cocking mechanism and seat back

First impressions? I love Hasegawa kits, so detailed and well moulded.

The Vallejo paints are excellent so far, wonderful coverage, strong colours and they dry quickly

PE?? Crikey it's fiddley, you need a sharp scalpel and a good set of minatur pliers...and lots of patience. I'm still not happy and know where I can improve.

Thank you
The airbrush is a £28.00 one I got of ebay. It is gravity fed, and is pretty much adjustable for everything. I'm very happy with it.

Bugger, I have just realised that I did not dry brush any highlights. Oops

I'll have to try some of that Mig wash, looks good.

Klear is such an excellent product. I can't believe that I hadn't heard of it's use in modelling till recently. It realy helps finish off the effect
