GB Chat thread - Hawker Tempest

I agree thanks to the guys in getting this oiff the ground, but really wouldn't it be better to have one thread for all the Academy builds, another for the Airfix builds, etc we are just going to end up with too many threads to keep up with. Only my 2p
My concern is that we will get very muddled build threads. This may not prove important as it's dependant on the not known number of participants.I think for this reason model dedicated sites do encourage a thread per build that way you can follow a build easily, comment on that thread and build, and reference a build easily, with a joint thread non of these things are easy.
For those reasons I think a separate thread for each build is better and if over population of the forum does become an issue then the mods have said they would look into the idea of sub forums so in some ways separate threads may benefit us in the medium\long term.
Can we let this one go as planned? I know there are views and we can discuss them, perhaps in another thread to keep this one on the subject at hand.
As far as I am concerned this is meant as a cheap way for us to have a bit of fun, enjoy the company of some like minded people and maybe learn something new or impart some knowledge.

I think it's absolutely OK to build a Typhoon – whats 21" and a laminar flow wing between friends?
If we were building a Spitfire, there would be a lot more difference between a Spitfire Mk5 and a Spitfire 24 than there is between a Typhoon and a Tempest.
I don't think you've been trying hard enough If we were building a Spitfire, there would be a lot more difference between a Spitfire Mk5 and a Spitfire 24 than there is between a Typhoon and a Tempest.
There are currently 19 suitable kits on evilbay, 14 of which are advertised by "Top rated sellers"
Whilst hoping to make a come back to modelling using this group build as a platform I came to the conclusion that I'm still too far from recovery so it's not to be for a little while.
However I did enjoy helping to organise the last one and have really enjoyed seeing the results and on that basis would not mind repeating the experience.
In the mean time I'll ask the mods to un-sticky these threads and sticky a new one for the next group build discussion, however, if people feel it should be organised by a participant then please let it be known on the new GB discussion build and we can take it from there.
