Help for a newbie please

Hi guys, hope you can help me. I am looking at getting an electric RC buggy for my soon to be 8yr old son for next weekend. I have a budget of £230 ish to get us up and runnning. Dont want nitro cars for him yet, so batteries are ideal. Now lots of cars come without rc controllers and not great and/or any batteries, so help with any ideas and info would be great to get the ball rolling on this. I want something that if we break it we can repair/ modify. If he takes to this we can perhaps upgrade in time. He has a couple of road rc cars ( not expensive or quick) and has mastered drifting them etc already LOL. We live near Greenham common, so plenty of open space to race around, so do I need a cut off switch etc so we dont see it disappear over the horizon etc. Cheers Justin.
