We have a Clio 200 also. Tis an Alien green Cup. Seen a few of these Clios on the various owners clubs sites so thought I'd stick some pics of our 200 up:
Spec-
- Clio 200 Cup
- Alien Green (Obviously)
- Black speedlines (Ultraleggera track wheels)
- Recaros
Started out without any spoiler. A pic for the pit garage at Silverstone in August.
Some track pics:
Came home from that and ordered the Cup spoiler a few days later. Make it look so much better imo:
Bought some Ultraleggeras to replace my 2nd hand DIY black 197 trackday wheels:

I've recently changed from a 98 DC2 Uk Integra type R to a 200 cup (Well I say changed, but I still actually have both. Working on selling the teg).
In terms of driving pleasure its pretty evenly matched. Performance figures are very similar. The DC2 feels faster due to the noise and they way vtec noticably kicks in. In terms of handling I prefer the Clio, its seems more chuckable and very planted.
The Recaros in the teg are a snugger fit, so better for a short run but the Clios are more comfortable overall.
The reason I changed was because I wanted a car that didn't require regular TLC. I love my DC2 and if Honda still made them I'd have bought one new without a second thought. Its just getting a bit old, and I don't have the time or patience to give it the care it requires. The newer type Rs just don't do it for me. The reason I love the DC2 is because its pretty much about pure driving pleasure. No compromises. No sound deadening. No unnecessary weight. Perfect gearchange, excellent driving position.
The Clio is along the same lines (especially the cup) yet its a more civilised city car, which is where I do most of my driving but its still great fun on track and B roads. Plus I can fit my mountain bike in the back

I'm not a 200 owner but i have been very close.
I sold my 182 Trophy in 2009 and thought i'd end up with a 200, I test drove a 200 cup at Renault in eastbourne but we never really came up with a deal that was good enough for me to sign that day.
Then i saw a Megane R26 that came up locally and i ended up buying that, while it was a very good car i never really took to it, so that got sold early this year.
It's replacement was a 172 cup to tie me over for a summer of ring trips and track days and i've enjoyed it so much i haven't really thought much about changing it, until I came across this thread which has some very nice looking examples in it!!

It's in Autocar's Top 10 Cars of 2010 this week (3rd year running).
Dont tease us... what posistion is it?Denno B said:
Nice cars, there is some great deals on these at the moment, was tempted myself. Lookers have been doing them for £1k deposit and £199 a month for 24months, then either give it back or pay the remainding £8.5k. Load of owners on the cliosport forum have been snapping them up.
Thats exactly the deal I have, although the 6,000mpa has been broken slightly. (I've had it 6 months and already done 7,000 miles! Aspen: If you dont mind telling, how much was your GT spoiler to be painted and fitted?
Also to any owners that fancy it; there are a few of us going to the New Year meet this Sunday in Gillingham. There are 4 of us so far, the more the merrier.

Dont tease us... what posistion is it?They don't give positions as the cars are quite varied and in the top 10 for very different reasons. Great write up though.
Hi, I have had my 200 Cup in white since last September. Had a few quality issues that are hopefully now behind me. Mine has black speedlines and thats it! I have a KTEC sprint spoiler waiting to go on as soon as I can get it painted. Its a good compromise between a GT and a cup spoiler, and my favourite. Havent got any decent pics tbh. Fantastic cars for the money :-)

ROCHESTER TVR - Saw the cars at the PH doo, but didnt see you guys. Next time!! BF
Hi, yeah sorry I was looking out for you but must have been at other ends of the area each time. Saw your 200 looked great. Warning to all 200 owners: I (well the wife) has just broke my 200 for the 2nd time! I tend to leave my car in gear when parked on the road by my house (slight hill), wifey then goes in and tries to start it without noticing its in gear... car lurches forward and in the process blows the main live fuse coming off the battery. Very annoying!
Now the car is dead, no electrics and it wont start...(will still lock though). So tomorrow I'll get it going to get to work and then have to get on the phone to find a new fuse and replace it myself as I know I can do it quicker myself than it takes to book it into my local MD and wait for them to fix it.
So if you have a 200 and leave it in gear when parked, make sure its never accidentally started. Otherwise you'll be unable to start it and possibly be stranded wherever you are.

But not any more. Unfortunately, lookers and perrys have pretty much fooked any deal on a 200 for 2011. Their offer worked by giving away ALL the profit/PCP/back end bonus. Renault UK very unhappy to say the least. The added effect was to destroy used values. Maximum profit per car, as of yesterday, is now approximately £900. The only good news is that both RS200 and RS200 Cup have only gone up £100. Rochester TVR - Nightmare!! New Years resolution - don't let the Mrs near it unless supervised!!
Was going to pull mine 'round to your two white machines before I went, but mine had got so grubby over two days of runs (Uckfield:Goodwood and back on New Years Day and then the pre-meet run..so 350 miles in two mornings)that it wouldn't have shown it in a good light...
Roll on a nice dry, light, fresh spring Sunday morning and a run down to Rye etc...
See you soon and hope the cars sorter shortly,
