A few more sleepless nights left I think........

Supplying dealer was doing a gearbox oil change for me, when the tech noticed chunks of metal in the bottom of the sump!!!!!!!!!

Needless to say a new gearbox is needed..............

Sounds like they are being thorough......rebuilt or replacement box is straight forward enough

It sounds like you have a dealer with a long term outlook on business if they are going to do some serious £££s on the rectification - If they are outsourcing the work I would also ask them for a copy of the invoice for the work for future reference.

Fingers crossed that you don't have to wait too long smile

I can sympathise, but wouldn't it be worse if you'd picked it up & it went wrong in a few weeks?

yes, this isn't really a drama - the 'box is a fairly low-tech and readily-available piece.

And if i remember right, GM wouldnt offer Bentley any warranty on the box because they said it was being used outside of its intended load spec :-)
