Sorry, can I also ask who's staying for lunch and the optional "part 2"?
Money (or lack there of) will probably dictate Part 1 and no lunch....

Having missed your last run

and knowing how good they are

having been on others

we're very keen to try and make this one but the Midget may be at B&G Baldock anyway having more spent on it

So I'll include us (taking in account above proviso) don’t worry about food for us

Added my new car and put my nephew down as well (martin). Will stop for a drink after first leg and will make my mind up as to carrying on with second leg at that point, Cheers Tim.

Spokey is it my faulty eyes or yours,
post above has:
CarZee: ? (could be updated from elsewhere)
api330: slkamg55

OP doesn't

please do not let firesafetydave follow or lead the AMG SLK or he'll go on about selling the Westie (again) and both will probably run out of petrol, tyres and brakes before the pub stop

Nice choice of car tim - is it the sl55 just under 500hp or the slk which i think has just under 400.Either way great choice - i loved my E55

I just hope we get lucky with traffic.
hi. I went on a hoon recently and the route was provided in a TomTom *.itn file (thanks Plenty), I assume by using Google Maps. I thougt this was a fantastic idea. Is there any chance of doing something similar for this hoon?

Cheers

Matt.

Can't come as I'm banned from hooning 2 weekend in a row but on my last run I used TYRE http://www.janboersma.nl/gett/index.php
You plan you route in Google Maps and it converts the waypoints into the TomTom .itn file. I'm guessing Plenty used this last time?? I would be interested to know a better way to do it.

We will of course be using the TVR/MG SatNav - i.e. a paper road atlas or suggested route and Mrs Beer's attention to route, just about as reliable as the electronic version and usually a discussion subject at the pub stop

I've found Google Maps sometimes miss, pubs at least, by as much as hundred(s) of yards

The great thing about using satnavs on hoons is that not only do they keep you on route, but you can see how the road ahead twists and turns - a bit like having an electronic rally co-pilot.

And yes, TYRE is the absolute bees-knees. Albeit I'm the sort that likes to plan everything out in advance and document things in detail. I can totally understand how others would prefer to opt for spontaneity.

That's what I liked, knowing that if I got separated I could still follow the route and get to the destination.

Even simple things like at round-abouts, I find it very easy to miss were others have gone. And if you don't know where you are exactly it could take to ages to figure it out, but by that time you might as well give up.

Seeing the lay of the land was also rather handy too smile
