If it was my car I'd organise a convoy myself, but it's my bro's and he isn't a PHer. I will ask him though if he's up for it. The Mini really does go and would keep up with modern stuff but he does tend to cosset it. Poor old thing. Him I mean, not the car.
On the Italian Job Rally a few years ago there was a factory tour of BMW in Munich and they made such a fuss of the Minis I'm interested to see how well it's received in Cowley.

Itch, Just putting my thought's in as to routes, I would prefere the main roads as there are a lot of -hit roads about at min (pot holes loose stones flying about) and as there will be some nice cars about would hate to see any cars damaged, Just my thoughts i will do what the rest of you decide,
