Phew, busy night! Lost pretty much all the Northants lot, but spotted Longers and these sights... great place, always thoroughly enjoyable Did anyone catch the Thunderbug running?... 4.2l air-cooled, V-twin car and, if I wasn't mistaken, some funny fuel

Pupp - that yellow bug looked sweet. The tyres were massive! Also missed the steam machine in motion, bet that was a sight.

Pet Club - Glad you saw my baby! She was filthy though, no garage queen! My friend Paul was with his steel Blue Elan next to me.

I did see Mr Skinner across the field but didn't manage to find him for a

Petclub, sorry didn't have long to talk but your new car looks great

Hi Ian, you're more than welcome to have a go, your car attracted a lot of nice comments from people we were talking to later.

Blipi, we saw the other Lotus too, there was also a very nice JPS version and a yellow Exige.

Defo. a busy one last night, with fantastic weather! Unfortunately Paul in his Elan had some bad luck with a deer on the way back

A stunning Tamora...

One of Blipi's door stop lot had a very bling engine bay...

Something for Justin I think...

Mmmmmmm... Exige... I want one!

There were a few Ultima's there - look at the mental spoiler!

And a cheeky Elise...

Edited to add the Capri - everyone loves a Capri!

I've seen the yellow Fiat a few times but never yet heard it running.... suspect there's a monster mill under that cutie bonnet (I think I counted at least six plug leads through the louvres) and I bet it sounds sweet as...

The traction engine was impressive in motion... the 'headlamps' were oil lanterns hanging under the front wheel yoke, and it fair took off with a healthy 'schoooooooshh...' Lovely stuff.

Did your Lotus mate [Paul] enjoy himself? He got pretty close behind on the way out of Harborough but soon dropped back... wonder why?

Edited 'cos I'm not fully awake yet

More pics, this time courtesy of Skin. Glad you got the Metisse framed Weslake Mark... mate of mine used to race them and would have wet himself over that. Beautiful bike (and form entirely dictated by function ) Also really like the Citroen box van

I recognised the plate on your car - it was me that passed you going home on the A47 between Belton and Uppingham giving it plenty of &

Loved the Tamora above . It was parked behind me and I spent quite a while drooling over it. I also saw a mk1 Ford Escort Mexico, which brought back memories of my 1st car (which was only a 1.3!)

Longers, I think we saw you / followed you out of the A6 Market Harb service station roundabout!

The JPS Elan is a fantastic project of Paul P's. It was a write off and he sold his P&J white Elan to finance the project. I think it works very well and is wonderfully unique!

Was good to see ChevyV8 (Cant actually remember his forum name) after a long time last meeting at Pistonfest!

I'll be there from 6ish. As my wrist is still kernackered my old man is acting a chauffeur and would you believe he's just bought a VR-4 aswell. How embarrassing!

Anyways, i'll have a cast on my left wrist, if you see me, say Hi.

Steve
Also missed! Think we saw your "wagon" though.

Yep, managed to get mine there in convoy with the old man in the end. Nice to give it a run out after sitting still for 4 weeks. Saw your Cerb Mark, next month i'll have to get to the meet and convoy with you guys.

I'm glad someone took a picture of the black Honda bike, it looked different to anything I've seen before.

loads of people were looking at that. Heard one guy saying it was a 1.5 6 cylinder with 118bhp. I reckon Honda ought to put that into the Jazz.

Pic taken by my good self! Always liked big estates. Sort of thing that makes a good "twitching-mobile" with some of my bird-watching mates. (I`ll explain next time)
