Convoy for the 30/1/11 Sunday Services. J15A M1 Services

The M1 Junction 15a services seems like as good a place as any to meet. It worked out well for the Silverstone meet.

I have a good route planned, taking in some interesting backroads between Bicester and Oxford.

Does 8.30am to leave for 9am sound ok to everyone?

Interesting backroads route and dual carriageway route possible.

Maybe decide last minute.

I assume the usual rules apply. i.e. 30 in a 30, 40 in a 40 anything else is the individual driver's responsibility.

If it was my car I'd organise a convoy myself, but it's my bro's and he isn't a PHer. I will ask him though if he's up for it. The Mini really does go and would keep up with modern stuff but he does tend to cosset it. Poor old thing. Him I mean, not the car.

On the Italian Job Rally a few years ago there was a factory tour of BMW in Munich and they made such a fuss of the Minis I'm interested to see how well it's received in Cowley.

Any chance we can avoid those "one way chicane" bits? I once got run off the road on one of them and damaged two rims and tyres. I say once, it was actually this week and the scars still run deep.

I can't think of any on the way if we go the obvious route.

Car is hopefully going to be cleaned at the Polish car wash tomorrow first thing, then straight to the services via getting bent over at the fuel pumps.
