I'm off to the range tonight and I'm going to be booking some lessons here:

Looks pretty amazing and I like the idea of the lessons being recorded for you.
Also playing at Richmond Park (Dukes Course) on Saturday. I hope it's dry.

Even just to get the new re release?I have a Yes Sophia along the same lines as the 8802, it's just a bit short to make it in the regular rotation.
Edit - Does anyone use the golfshot app? Mate of mine loves it, tells him scrambling stats, which side he misses fairways more often on etc etc, I've just downloaded it to try it in the medal on Friday.

I'd probably go for a Byron if I ever did replace it now.
Btw, I don't think golfshot app is allowed in comps? Due to being on a phone?
I love the new stat taking apps, gamegolf looks awesome.

Q. What about multi-functional devices, such as a mobile phone, with a distance-measuring application?
A. On the course, subject to any club or course regulations, a multi-functional device may be used to phone, text, email or to look up general information, provided the purpose is not a breach of the Rules, e.g. you cannot make a phone call to ask for advice.
When an application that measures distance has been downloaded to the device, the application must be restricted to providing only distance information in order to conform to the Local Rule. If there are other features or applications on the phone that can specifically gauge or measure conditions that might affect the player’s play, such as an anemometer or thermometer, this would render the device non-conforming for use as a distance-measuring device, regardless of the fact that these other features or applications are used or not.

As they are at mine, but nobody has told me off yet!!!
I did have a watch, until someone stole all of my golf gear.... and I will probably get a replacement one this spring.
I'm not keen on the lasers. I think if you're a very good player, fine. But for the average club golfer a GPS unit, either watch/hand held or trolley mounted, is a much quicker device to use.
Nothing worse than getting your £300 laser range finder out for a 150 yard 8 iron only to either fat it or shank it!!!

Dude I have to disagree with this! Laser gives so much better feedback and is priceless imo.I did have a watch, until someone stole all of my golf gear.... and I will probably get a replacement one this spring.

An example:
155 to the flag by laser, no guessing front or back. You can then hit your shot and, if good, you can pace out from your pitch mark and find out your exact yardages.
Loads of people just guess that their 7 iron goes 150 or whatever, but actually knowing is priceless, and a big difference.
I might look into golfshot for the stats side, but laser is quicker and better to use for yardages imo.
Would never go back

I'll be entering everything post round just to see what kind of things it throws up after I've logged a few rounds.
ETA - My phone is always in my bag on silent the whole round, it's the only time I can escape from incessant whatsapps etc from SWMBO and she knows why I am not responding, bliss!

I’ve been using golfshot for over 4 years, I think it is a very good app for smart phones, and has served me well, the information presented not only to front, middle and back of greens, but also distance to carry bunkers/water etc etc is good.
However I have last week purchased from flee bay a Garmin G8, so I’ll see how I get on with this over the next couple of weeks.
And before anyone says, yes I know about the legality of “Plays like”, i dont know if Garmin missed a trick, or the R & A should embrace technology advances at a greater pace.

For clarity, I won't be using golfshot for distances, I have a Bushnell for that and we have touchscreen GPS on our carts anyways. Lasers are definitely the best way to get distances imo.

Right boys, haven't done this for a while! Let's see if you can pick holes in my swing
This is a 3 wood off the deck. Bad shot for me at the moment will be a pull to the left (very occasionally a hook), and at the moment I occasionally hit it out of the heel of the club (which I think I did on this shot).
Apologies for the poor light and video (iPhone 6+ slow motion).
Looking at it myself I seem to be stretching slightly at address, I'd rather my arms were hanging down straighter.
Please don't take the piss too much

not bad at all...a little 'flat' for me, but other than that...there doesn't look like there is a lot wrong to be honest. what handicap are you mate? This is a 3 wood off the deck.
