Tour of Dubai on Eurosport this week.

Also saw Salvoldelli is attracting the attention of CONI. My favourite descender, but who was I kidding that he was clean!

Not really. She was in a class of her own out there.

Wonder if Stybar will go (even) better in Paris-Roubaix this year?

I hope so. I'm a big fan, he's got bags of potential I reckon.

And he has a name like a Bond villain. What's not to like?

I heard Fab. playing down his chances of winning.

Either way, nice to see the cycling season start again smile

I'd love to see him win it but I really can't see it happening. He doesn't the explosive power, the experience or the team to back him up unfortunately. Team Sky are a long way from being able to really challenge in any of the Classics.

Bloke who wins prologue defends lead and then wins overall. Usual lukewarm crap served up at the ToD. Kittel's the new super sprinter on the block, regardless of Cav's lead out train I think he's going to have his work cut out this season to match the mighty German.

To be fair, just read on his twitter he hit a cone in the last 1.5km and the chain came off. That'll explain why he came out of the bunch and was freewheeling.

Yep, Cav didn't have a great tour, but Kittel certainly looks the part.

Could be a very interesting season.

Renshaw was second, OPQS sprint train can't be too bad.

Edited to add, the above was referring to stage 4.

Quintana and Rodriguez are targeting the Giro and La Vuelta this year apparently leaving le tour wide open for Froome. Movistar want Quintana to ride La Vuelta for sponsorship reasons and Rodriguez being Spanish also wants a crack at it. I'd suspect Porte may go for the Giro for Sky and Wiggo will aim for La Vuelta. It could prove to be an interesting three weeks in France without J-Rod and Quintana...
