Mate, easily!! Had 2 other birdie putts lip out as well.
Hopefully I won the comp (don't know yet) and hopefully I'll be cut down to 16....
They're the best type of rounds..Come off the course feeling chuffed you've played well, but knowing you've left a few shots out there...keeps you coming back for more everytime! 30 putts is a good effort too! I'd kill for 30 putts every round!Hopefully I won the comp (don't know yet) and hopefully I'll be cut down to 16....
Putted really well - got up and down 3 or 4 times as well. Chipping is pretty st hot at the moment. You can save so many shot if you can chip consistently.
Sure is, so confident around the green at the moment.
The birdie was great - hit a nice drive but unfortunately rolled into a fairway bunker.
Had a lovely lie so thought I'd go for it - 135 yards. Picked it off the top beautifully with my wedge and ended up 8 feet from the pin - sunk the putt! Great start to the round!

Got to love starting with a birdie! Talk about starting on the right foot! I usually end up with a nice cold double to start. Last round i had started Tripple, then a 5 over, then a double. To finish the next 15 in 11 over was an achievement considering how P***** off i was!The birdie was great - hit a nice drive but unfortunately rolled into a fairway bunker.

I won - out of 39 players! And I won in style with second place a full 5 points behind.
Handicap is now 15.4
Happy days!
At least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask.Handicap is now 15.4

I've been playing to 17 fairly - thought I'd won with 37 the other week but someone came in with 40 and 41.
Need to start practicing more now - next goal is 13!

With the autumn fast approaching I have a feeling I will be needing decent waterproofs as I intend to keep playing in all weathers.
Is there any worthwhile alternative to Gore-Tex? A lot of manufacturers offer breathable waterproofs but I am suspicious as they are nearly always cheaper than the Gore-Tex ones.
Am I stuck with buying £400 worth of Galvin Green or is there a better option?

I have a full Galvin suit and it is fantastic.

9 holes after work tonight - love an evening round of golf! Hopefully get some more stunning pics of the course with the sun setting....
Lucky sod! I'd love to get home in time for 9. The joys of the commute from the big smoke!ManFromDelmonte said:

Work from home, golf course is only a 10-15 drive so should be on the tee by 5.50pm!
I played at 17.56 last week and we only just got 9 holes in before it was getting too dark. I hate winter.Gonna be spending less time on the course and more on the range I think.
Yep, we're going to The Oxfordshire for the weekend! 8 of us, should be good.

Got to the range on Monday. More practice needed. Still, get to play Sunday & have just ordered some new Bridgestone B330-s to go with my new shiny rangefinder. Anyone have any experience of these? Hoping they're a decent alternative to Pro V1s & hopefully they're softer than the AD333 i currently use!
Love the 330's - they're a really nice ball.My ball of choice at the moment are the NXT Tour S, much cheaper than a Pro V1 but not dissimilar results:

Also, I think the new Callaway Supersoft are a superb ball! Give them a try
