I still have to pinch myself watching this I was brought up with Dickie Davies and Barry Hoban winning the odd stage. Yates just off the pace bust right in the mix Cav winning three stages and Cummings wonderful solo effort yesterday its just too much

If Cav gets in before the cut off, I wonder if is the first time that Brits have held the yellow, white and green jerseys?

I imagine that Wiggins and Cav had them both before.

My heart was in my mouth waiting to hear Cav and Eisel were in safe.

(They are now, everybody made the time cut with a little room to spare, and this tour's first abandonner only climbed off today, poor old Mørkøv was pretty bashed up, did well to stay as long as he did.)

Cav's in, and yes, think it's a first.

Think this is the most teams with British riders there's ever been too.

5 British stage wins in 8 stages. bounce

Just to reiterate what has already been said - what a stage!

Can't believe how good it's been this year.

I could watch stages like this every day of the year. Incredible back drop the scenery is breathtaking the drama and the intrigue is just wonderful and now we get to see the TDF really explode. Come on Yates lets see you in Yellow tonight
Yep brilliant 3 hrs TV watching that stage, fantastic scenery! Looking forward to my visit in Sept(in the M3 not on a bike).
Sky looking rather strong, Yates doing brilliant, Froomes weird downhill style, was Carlton sounding emotional at the end, I've had too much red wine watching that.
More Pyrenees tomorrow, can't wait!

Descending on the road at high speed scares me far more than downhill mountain biking. What Froome was doing today would scare the crap out of me!

Crikey, couple of eye-openers in this http://www.eurosport.co.uk/cycling/tour-de-france/...
Tinkoff folding and Berti signing 2 more years at Trek! IMHO Berti's best days behind him but really surprised that Tinkoff withdrawing. Sagan anybody?

I'm setting off for the Surrey hills in a bit - will wear a ph jersey. I'm a bit worried now that every Henry, Hugo and Harriet will be descending Leith with their nuts on the headset today!

It'd arguably be *even better* if it was someone else - Geraint, maybe? - so that the jerseys were actually on four British riders during the race.

Either way though, it's awesome. bounce
