I doubt I'd have much influence! Speak to the pro (Nick) at Hemsted Forest GC, he'll sort you out I'm sure.

Just realized I put this on the 2015 thread by accident..

New bats have just been ordered after having a fitting on Sunday biggrin

Callaway Apex MB 4-PW
Callaway Apex UT 21 Degree (3 iron)
KBS Tour X stiff shafts

Was a toss up between the Dynamic Gold X100 and the KBS as they felt similar but I just preferred the flight of the KBS so went with them.

Here in a week, cant wait party
Mmmm..... nice bats!!

Pictures when you get them - out of interest, what grips did you go for?

Ahhh.... temporary greens. I remember the days! hehe Sorry boys, that's not nice of me!

In fairness to the green staff, quite often you find yourself playing on a poor, or temporary green, whilst other perfectly good looking greens are closed.

I've found in the past this is because the green staff actually close a certain number of greens whilst playing the others, then they'll swap them over to recover.

So Hapless, you may have been unfortunate to play that green on the last day it was in use before having a week off, when they'll open the other green which has been closed for a week and looks in good condition.

Anyone interested in some very nice Snake Eyes irons? One of our members has asked me to try and sell them for him.

They're Snake Eyes 600C forged irons. From PW to 3 iron.
Project X 6.0 flighted rifle shafts. Lamkin Crossline grips.
Standard length, standard lie.

These things are like new. I'll take some pics later and post them up. He's only after £115 + postage.

I must be very lucky at my course we never play on temporary greens or temporary tees ! If it's too frozen the course is shut until the frost clears !

Got my new clubs delivered this weekend myself - Taylormade Aeroburner Irons 4-SW, Aeroburner 9.5 Driver and Aeroburner 3 Wood. Huge amount of difference from the old and battered second hand clubs I'd been using last year. Definitely rusty from not hitting a ball for the best part of 6 months, but nice to be back down the range!

On that note, I'm looking for a nice course to play and potentially join in South London. I was a member at Mitcham through last year, but the course wasn't in a great condition through late Summer so looking for somewhere nicer. Does anybody have any suggestions?
Woodcote Park isn't far from there - that's a nice club.

I'm playing tomorrow in a work society and they've put my handicap at 29. If I come away with more than 20 points I'll be reasonably happy, more than 30 would be excellent.
40+ easy!! tongue out

Looking forward to McIlroy v Day tonight, should be a hell of a match!

I'm tipping Day - think McIlroy has a few cock ups in his locker at the moment and Day has been superb around the greens.

Having said that, depends on how his back holds up. Could go either way!!
