Yes Root comes up a little short for once with James Taylor overshadowing him. England looking to dwarf the Pakistan batting total, reaching the dizzy heights of number two in world test cricket. If they can reach there it will be a real high for the team.

That's probably enough of that....

Pakistan have a tiny problem

Sorry, last one I promise.

What would David Shepheard do in this situation? double Nelson overnight ? Would he have had to hop from the field ?

Building a useful little lead and the pitch sounds like a spinners paradise now. Would be great to get a three figure lead.

Rashid falls to bring up lunch.

That's cricketing parlance, he's not just stumbled and chundered.

51 ahead, seven wickets down and Stokes unlikely to bat unless it's essential.

Let's pack up and go home shall we? It's in the bag.

Direly in need of a wicket. Or three.

We have three.

In the balance this one, need Hafeez out early and push on from there.

Don't think we will score more than 200.

Should be a good finish. Both Pakistan and England are in this game. If England can take quick wickets, especially Hafeez and Misbah, I'd back them to win.

England desperately need to sort out their spin bowling. Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali don't put any pressure on the batsmen and leak easy runs.

Pretty much unless Pakistan have a mad half hour then the game is slipping away. Any more than 200 I can't see us getting. Too many batsman out of form.

I reckon 250 max is do-able.

if we can get four sessions and bat sensibly but progressively we can do it.

both previouis game shave been tight, there is life in this one yet for england

Mo picking up Hafeez has tipped the balance our way

Both Batsman at the crease currently have mid 40's batting averages at test level.

England still behind I think.

You'd like to think we could chase 300, but neither Cook or Bell are exactly positive players at the moment, and both favour caution over dash.

Best case, Cook would grind away at 2 an over and use up 80% of the available time, then expect Broad or Rashid to knock 200 off in 20 overs again.
