looks like last year was Fed's last full year and he is going to manage his reduction and eventual retirement, just showed how bloody good he is, one last push to show all that he was still the best at 31yrs:

Agreed with Rafa comment, think he'll stick more to clay and avoid HC in the future, but will return to being almost unbeatable on clay.
Benny has beaten Federer before, and took him to 5 sets at Wimbledon last year, losing from 2-0 sets lead. He seems to like playing against Federer. Would really like to see him win a tournament. 0-8 in finals now.
Find it odd that Murray is not scheduled to play at all before IW. He's going to leave himself with a lot of tennis to play to meet his commitments in the 2nd half of the season.
I can see Nadal's pov there are too many hard court tournaments, grass season should be much longerBenny has beaten Federer before, and took him to 5 sets at Wimbledon last year, losing from 2-0 sets lead. Roger.. CLOSE OUT these tight matches for god's sake! Was looking forward to Novak getting roughed up a bit.
yes that was very frustrating but it happensI do not think Djokovic has been beaten this year? is he going to have another 2011?
Nadal is back, just mauled Ferrer and is now playing IW which is great news
Haas is more than capable of causing some upsets and I would say he is the best player to have never won a GS, up until his parents had that big car crash in 2002 he was world no.2 and then had time off to look after them and came back and got a very bad shoulder injury almost immediately, then hip surgery I think it was, so he has been very unlucky
it was windy however and we know what happens to Djoker when the wind blows...
strange that, see what happens in the next few tournys re powers of recovery

Wasn't expecting that! Especially since Rafa's won the past 40-odd matches here, and Novak's been nursing an injury all week. Shame about the weather at the beginning, didn't let that ruin my day though!
lucky man great setting, Djoker 1 point away from bagelling Nadal on clay, wowJNW1 said:

Didn't a certain cyclist do the same? Look at him now..
Still don't buy any of this stuff about Rafa; if and when the facts change I'll change my mind but at the moment it's nothing more than malicious rumours IMO.Turning to matters on the court, excellent win for Dimitrov last night! I really though he'd blown his chance when he started to suffer with cramp and lost the 2nd set but he came through well in the end. Ok, perhaps Djokovic wasn't at his best but we've seen him win many matches when not firing on all cylinders so credit to Dimitrov for managing to close it out. I think he'll need to improve his fitness if he's going to compete with the best over 5 sets in the Grand Slams but the ability and the temperament both appear to be there and he's looking like he's going to step-up from being a successful junior and make it on the main tour; certainly hope so as he's great to watch!
and to top it all off for Dimitrov:

so he is having a pretty good week so far!

I guess what I mean is was it purely injury based or did he just want a break to spend time with family etc i think combination of both, but you then become rusty and not match hardened so bit of a catch 22when was the last time Fed lost in 3rd round of a tourny?

yes a pretty predicatble result but then again nobody in todays womens game can cope with Serena even at 31yrs oldwhat has happened to the womens game, used to be almost as good as mens game but now is nowhere near, only 2 players I actually like to watch, Serena and A Radwanska; where have the Hingis/Henin/Clijsters/Graf etc etc gone?
