The whataboutism on this thread is staggering.

All succesful pro-cyclists dope. No smoke without fire etc.

It is a filthy, crooked, rotten, cheating sport, through and through.

That so many people are defending that wky prick Wiggins and the doping practice and trying to hide behind "oooh rugby" speaks volumes - they all know he's guilty, they just want to water it down.

Why do so many support and defend the cheating junkies?

No-one is defending Wiggins. If he's guilty and he's bleated on about being 'clean' then when he's found to be not 'clean' then he should take the consequences of it. What I can't understand is how other sports seem to be getting away with illegal drug use rather than focusing on the 'within the rules' cheating that seems to be going on in cycling. Contador had a ban for similar for Clenbutarol.
Having watched Icarus, it seems odd they have lifted the ban on Russian athletes when it would seem to suggest that the Russian state continue to support it.

Maybe they need to add a label to the winners ticket (in whatever sport), with legally enhancing drugs, without drugs.

Exactly. When people start having a go at the fans, and other areas of other sports then it says to me that they have lost the argument.

Road cyclists are a strange bunch at the best of times. But how they can continue to defend their sport is beyond me.
I say let them all dope as much as they want. And if that means their hearts explode half way up a hill then so be it.

Cycling as always be a rich man's sport. Mainly due to the science behind the wheel and the rider.

The question however is what will Chris Froome do? If he wins the TDF again (5 times) people will be asking more questions about Team Sky and if doesn't he will also be damned.

It's a shame they don't have the same 25% reward that Floyd Landis may get in the UK.

Obviously disagree with any cheating, but have to agree with Redgrave here. The system was the problem. Teams will do anything within the rules to get an advantage. If anyone complained at the time then fair enough, but retrospective complaints is a bit unfair.

There should be two cycling classes. One for healthy people who don't need TUE, and another much faster class for people with serious illnesses.

makes sense, no?

Not true, most English cyclists of old were quite the opposite of rich. Many very working class people, and the TT scene is still pretty similar in that respect.

Froome looks st at the minute.

He does doesn't he, then again it may all be an act, I saw some of the coverage over the weekend. I see G seemed to have a dropped chain on a £2k groupset maintained by the best mechanics in the world (convenient if his legs were shot), unlucky if not.

It looked genuine. But there again you couldn't pay G not to fall off or something similar so not surprising. Landa looking like a contender.

Agreed, Landa looked like he way toying with them. I liked his comment about moving teams was a marginal gain.
