Joshua v Whyte - I think Joshua round 6

"Anthony Joshua’s immediate future revolves around Dillian Whyte at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday night – but in a moment of unexpected candour, the former world champion David Haye let slip on Friday that he and Joshua are scheduled to collide, “very shortly.”

...

Joshua agreed. “You heard it here first,” he said. “That’s what it’s about. As with a fighter’s mentality, you’ve both got work to do beforehand. But some time, down the line, our paths will cross – whatever it’s for. You’ve got two great athletes. This is where you heard it first".

However, I now have a £10 riding on Whyte so I don't think Joshua should plan ahead!

Hi Guys, I cannot see dillian getting past the first round. He likes to have a scrap, his technique is almost non-existent and above all he leaves his chin exposed.

1st Round knock out. First big right hand and he will go.

Simply not in Joshua's league

Its my opinion Joshua would beat Fury now.

I'm just not sure. Dillian seems more fluid and a more natural fighter.

As for Joshua vs fury. Who knows neither have faced particularly amazing opposition.

What I will say, looking at Joshua early on and now.m, and knowing what I do from my time in underground gyms, the change in physique over the last 5 years is almost certainly assisted. I may be wrong but from 18 years of experience I'm 95% confident.

I'd put fury as a natural. Contentious I know. But the bicep width from the front and the quad width from the front, and deltoid cap over 5 years doesn't happen with protein shakes. The general public need to come to a state of realisation that lifting weights, drinking protein drinks and new training methods does not amount to muscle gains. End of.

Sprinters, boxers, strong men, cyclist, body builders etc haven't changed shape over the last 30 years due to training methods, supplements and diet

Controversial ;-)

To me physically looks a lot like a Bruno or hollyfield, it could be just a case of good genetics, low body fat through nutrition and training and expert help, he's been involved with some of the best sports science people through his amateur and pro career... The 2012 olympics attracted a lot of money and support. But I agree his physique is quite extraordinary.

I wouldn't be so certain Anthony isn't natural.

His physique whilst no doubt is impressive isn't extraordinary.

His FFMI is on the higher side but he has been weight training for 10 years. Whilst smaller in his amateur fight with Whyte, 6 years is a fair timescale to naturally obtain what he has today.

His bone structure is perfect for gaining muscle and still looking athletic.

Guys does anyone know what Joshua whispered to Whyte just as they parted from the face off during the weigh in?

In fairness, I don't think I've seen a 5.15pm fight so well-attended! It's been a good fight actually...I'll miss Malignaggi when he finally calls it a day...

I have to admit I deleted a bit from the Campbell prediction - very close. Mendy fought some good names and never been stopped so I thought Campbell may stuggle to hold him off...but expected a better performance from him.

of course this reads brilliantly after the event lol
