That's the fight I want too, but with Manny injured it's unlikely to ever happen.

The big fight I REALLY want to see this year is Joshua vs Price. There's talk of Joshua taking on Whyte, who beat him as an amateur. That fight makes me feel nervous- the one guy with a psychological advantage and a very good pro record too. Seems like it could be a banana skin fight.
Joshua will walk through Whyte. He's on a completely different level now.

I can't see Price lasting too long with Joshua either.

...unless Joshua has some vulnerability around the chin. I think I'd be backing Joshua as/when they fight, but there are still two key unknowns about him: 1) does he have the stamina to go 12 competitive rounds and 2) how he would deal with being properly clobbered? Personally, I'd be surprised if that particular fight went the distance but I would fancy Price to connect at least once...and though he has vulnerabilities of his own, one thing that has never been in question is how hard Price can hit.

if i had to pick a winner right now.......joshua.

but lets not forget that price flattened him when they sparred a couple of years back. i'd love to see this fight , price's stock still remains low in the eyes of the public compared to joshua's incredible hype. don't forget it wasn't too long ago everyone was raving about price in the same way.

a closer fight than many think.

Whoever lands heavily first, is likely to be the winner. The both pack a lot of power.

If Price does hit Joshua with some big shots and it doesn't phase him then its time to buy into the Joshua hype.

Is there a source for this?

gym talk and tittle tattle.......but it's quite a widely discussed Topic and it has come from a few sources who were there. Price was asked about it on record and was quite coy but did say he'd dropped him in a spar but added that Joshua was very green at the time and acknowledged that he was a much improved fighter since

As an amateur Joshua wasn't invulnerable.

Now you can argue he was young and inexperienced in both those but I don't think he posses a Oliver Mccall style chin.

The only fact about Joshua sparring I can find is that Tyson Fury got a hard time from sparring him (plus a jibe about Price's chin).

Joshua v Price could/should be an interesting fight. This fight could bring Price back onto the spot.

If Price KO's Joshua does it change much for Price? He'll get a few more paydays but he'll soon come across someone who can catch him on the chin and then its goodnight.

Price was supposed to be fighting on the 26/06 but has pulled out of it. There was talk of a fight against Erkan Teper but that has gone quite.

Or the seat of his pants.

Who is the British Heavyweight champion at the moment, I thought to myself, Google says it's Tyson Fury and I don't see him making a defense of it, so if he stood aside perhaps Price and Joshua could match for it?

There do seem to be a number of British HW about at the moment who are reaching significant points in their careers. What's happened to Hughie Fury? He seems to have dropped off the radar.

I do hope he makes the effort to heal the wounds with the Ingles, for me it would be a happy ending for Mr Ingle, who's not going to be around forever, and I do like a happy ending.

Joshua has also been installed as WBC #2. Wilder fights this weekend against a guy called Eric Molina in what I'm guessing is a voluntary defence, so a mandatory defence must be due some time by the end of this year, and Povetkin is ranked #1. So unless Wlad gets in on the act with a unification fight, Joshua is on track to fight for a world title next year. With that in mind, and assuming he gets through against Whyte, who do you guys think Hearn should be lining up to get him ready for that title shot?

I'd love to know how the WBC came up with that. There's still a lot for Joshua to prove (Chin and Stamina) and there seem to be other candidates who are more deserving of a chance such as Glazkov who is 20-0 against better opponents than Joshua.

Besides a scrappy win over Joshua when they were both starting out what exactly has Whyte done besides failing a drugs test?

Anyway a list of opponents I'd like to see Joshua fight:

Lucas Browne - Commonwealth HW Champ currently has 22 / 0 with 19 KOs

Tony Thompson - Let's see if Joshua is David Price MKII

Ruslan Chagaev - Small but only lost against Wlad and Povetkin.
