Bloody, that was a match and a half! Not sure why the ref retook the penalty, when the other 2 were exactly the same. Fussy beggar. Well, should make it an interesting game in the Ukraine. There was some dubious decisions though. Anchovy getting pulled down in the box.. no peno, Johnson getting utterly manhandled, no peno. Mind you, they played pretty good. Very nice passing from them. The last 10 minutes were frantic. Why, oh why Neville was booting it up the field though, I have no idea! Hibbert needs to be dropped. He can't pass to save his life!

ZR1cliff]Picked up Warren Aspinall[ex Everton] in my cab tonight[i pick him up now and then said:
,he hinted to put the radio on for the Everton game but they only swiched over to it from the Spurs game now and then,i caught the penalty and thought they scored??
So did the rest of the world. He got us to retake it as someone moved when the ball was kicked. Johnson missed the next 2 peno kicks. That one was saved, and he skyed the other! Shame, it was a cracking penalty for his first! Was a funny ref performance. Not saying he was biased, as he sent off a Metal player for a bit of abuse, he was an arse with our penalty, and was generally a bit odd. Oh well, will make for a good game in Ukraine. Metalist were lucky to come away with a draw to be honest, but Everton played pretty badly, and were still on top through most of it.

Oh, and if ever the Scots wondered why McFadden doesn't play more than he does, that was a rime example. The guy cannot pass, and cannot tackle. His occasional pops at goal are not sufficient for a consistent run.

Shame about the score as it sounded a good game in the bits i heard,i think the game was held up half an hour because of crowd congestion, bit different from Chelsea hehe
Yeah, there was a ticketing issue, apparently. Not sure exactly what the problem was.

It is the best everton team for 20 years. despite us playing crap against foreign opposition, we are still in the top half, whereas before hand we were relegation fodder.

Where has the money come from to sign Yakubu ???? Didn't think we had any
We had it, it's just that Moyes, and the board don't run around telling everyone. Extra TV money helped, which is why it was so late. Anyway, isn't Fernandes a tt!

All I can say is do not play Hibbert, do not play Nevill in Midfiled. Play Jags and Anichebe from the start, instead of Carsley, and Yakubu, and hope Arteta is back, instead of that Muppet McFadden. Attack wise, it wasn't THAT bad. We looked very attacking, however it got to he point where we started hoofing the ball, and it doesn't work.

well you say macca is a muppet but lescot apart no one else in that team is scoreing goals im sorry id drop johnson before faddie
No, no, no.... Johnson does a great deal of work, running around, chasing lost causes, and harrying the opposition defence. McFadden doesn't do that. He tries to dribble, and fails, Tries to cross, and fails, the only thing he CAN do well is blast a ball from 30 yards. I'd take Johnson over Faddy any day of the week. Anchovy over Yak I would prefer to swap. And yes, Lescott is proving to be another superb buy. 1st Cahill, for $3.40, Our-tata for $1.70 and Lescott for thrupence.

who would your money be on to score against villa tomorrow faddie johnson or yakubu .i know mine would not be on johnson
Yakubu, as I think AJ has more chance of setting up another, than the Yak setting him up. Faddy will be sub, although Anchovy will come on, rather than Faddy. Faddy MAY start, if Arteta doesn't play.

Het Phil, how do you feel about Gravy coming back? I'm chuffed, to be hones. He's just as creative as Arteta. I think he'll be great as a loan, and even better should we get him back fr next season.
