From what I hear Bruno did a lot of good for his reputation at Goodwood. Nice guy by all accounts.

heh yeah, I was about to go looking for it actually smile

Christ it looks and sounds utterly terrifying when filmed on a phone, I guess vibration-less HQ onboards sanitise things somewhat!

Hi there,

I spent this weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and had a superb time photographing some of the most exciting cars in the world.

One of the highlights of the event is the Sunday Times Supercar run which takes place twice a day. I watched the runs on Friday afternoon, and Saturday morning. The weather was superb and the sun played havoc with my camera on such new and well presented cars. The track was quite dusty as well which made for some interesting shots.

I have some more shots of the static display cars, the Cartier concours exhibition and a few from the car parks which I will try and post tomorrow.

1) Lamborghini Reventon Roadster - stunning car and a real pleasure to photograph

2) Another highlight the Ferrari 599 GTO and 458 Italia

3) The new Mclaren MP4-12C

4) Latest Koenigsegg - The Agera

5) A couple of Bentley Continental Supersports

6) Staying with British Supercars, a Morgan Supersports and a rare Bristol Fighter

7) Veyron Grand Sport - one of two Veyrons in the supercar run

8) Ferrari California - very pretty in Silver

9) Gorgeous 911 GT2 RS and a rather fruity driver

10) MX5 Speedster Concept - hold on to your hats

11) Mercedes SLS - a true successor to the gullwing ?

12) Finally for now a Zonda F kicking up the dust

Hope you like the pics, more to follow soon.

Regards

Tim

Too many supercars and not enough historical in these photos. The FoS started off as a pageant of historical racing cars and the celebrations always were aimed at significant motor sport anniversaries. It now seems to have turned into an expensive car motor show.

Probbaly the TG effect at work - and mores the pity.

Regarding the question about the filter attached to the roll bar, that looks like the 1964 Liquid Suspension Special Indycar. I wonder was the filter to do with the liquid suspension system. It looks too small to be an oil cooler.

Holy crap, I'm agreeing with Eric. eek

Let's see the Can Am cars, the world sports cars, the 60-80's F1 cars, the Group B rally monsters, rather than a Porsche 911 whispering past... sleep

I posted some pics of some other stuff.

Somewhat surprisingly, both the GT3 RS and GT2 RS sounded absolutely fantastic btw. Comparable to the Gallardos if not quite as fabulous as the Zonda.

I have a photo of this in motion in the rally stage! It's very slighly blurred as it was pushing on and I couldn't pan that fast, but its there with the wheels spinning and dust flying. I'll upload it tonight when I am home smile

ETA: I think boxedin Infact, it may actually be a video of it. I've got a good amount of video from the rally stage.

I went on the Thursday and none of the historics went up the hill and few started their engines in the paddock. It was amazingly quiet. the only cars that were run were the supercars and they were far too civilised.
