A quick question about the F1 (and one I should really know as the longtail is my favourite car of all time) but my understanding was no longtail is road legal, however #19R has been driven this week on plates?
There are at least 3 longtail GTR's wearing plates - a FINA car #21R, the black car 'with the squiggles' as you say is #19R and #27R, the Parabolica liveried #27R as it was seen at the Silverstone Classic wearing a number plate. chassis #19R wears the F1 GTR number plate, has been meticulously prepared using the correct input along the way and has had its first proper outing, to the MTC, during this week after being seen at a local MOT station wearing trade plates.
chassis #27R had in its past life the plate CIA 7 that it was seen wearing at a Goodwood FoS years back; it now wears a different plate.
chassis #21R was seen at a race circuit in Europe wearing what appeared to be a Channel Islands [Guernsey or Jersey] style set of numbers in its rear meshed grille

But are they properly road legal or is there a bit of twisting the rules?
I like the discreet OZ branding hidden within #19R's squiggles. It was also liveried as a lark car for racing I believe.
Yes, it was in LARK colours, and was bought over to the UK still wearing them, before the new owner plumped for the original 1997 GTR Presentation livery.I like the discreet OZ branding hidden within #19R's squiggles. It was also liveried as a lark car for racing I believe.

I think we are getting 3 longtails at least. The yellow Parabolica car, the BMW factory car and the black 'Brack' car.
For the longtails there'll be #19R, #22R from the ROFGO collection, #24R in EMKA livery, #26R in BMW FINA livery, #27R in Parabolica livery driven by Kenny Brack, and a new entry of #28R, the car that was 'sold' at Bonhams in 2012. Hopefully #21R will make it but I haven't heard. For the short tails, hopefully #01R, as the whole GTR celebration is about it winning Le Mans in 1995, #02R in GULF colours, #03R in Art Sport livery, possibly #04R in LARK colours minus sponsorship, possibly #05R in Cesar livery as its been seen out and about in London, #06R in Harrods livery, #07R, #10R in its 1996 Presentation Livery (with the yellow GTR script across its roof), #12R in GULF livery, #13R in LARK livery, #15R in GULF livery from the ROFGO collection and #16R back in its FINA livery
There may be others, but nothing made public as yet
Not too shabby...

It's only 20,000 over the weekend compared to 148,000 for the revival. Last year we got to Chichester before I realised I'd left the badges at home in Fareham, a quick round trip meant we arrived as the track action started with the Group B. We drove straight in.
Are those numbers right? i.e. 10,000 per day for the MM versus 49,000 per day for the Revival? If so I'm amazed they haven't sold out, I know it's not cheap but considering they were opened up for general sale quite some time ago it does seem odd.

Weather update:
Yesterday was manky till late on.
Today was full cloud cover was the eclipse brightened over the day. Jumper but no jacket by lunch. Post lunch has turned sunny and from 14.00 has been a glorious early spring afternoon. Roof down leaving work in Pompey and a lovely drive across to Funters. Currently in the Fox & Hounds enjoying a pint and Choccy chip muffin with the sun dipping below the tree line.
It bodes well for tomorrow chaps but be warned the days may well be cooler pre lunch, with the best weather mid to late afternoon .
No tie worn today but an astonishingly terrible pair of forest green chinos purchased for £18 on Gunwharf
