Mark, I joined the waiting list over a year ago and have heard nothing. When I spoke to them they said it was massively over subscribed. Guess it's like one of those posh golf clubs, have to wait for some one to pop their clogs

I got my membership through earlier this year, but can't remember when I put my name down - I don't think it was more than 2 years ago though.

M3J,

Click on: Benefits of membership and application form request. This explains membership benefits. Scroll down to the application form at the bottom of the page. This can be filled in on-line. The front page states: "Goodwood Road Racing Club offers membership packages ranging from £35 to £150 per year and is the most exciting and exclusive way of going racing for you, your guests and your family".

Best of British luck.

Maybe the first one that gets memebership should get the beers in! We wont be getting very drunk by the looks of this wait! I signed up too yesterday!

Received my renewal notice yesterday and according to the information enclosed there are over 2900 people on the waiting list, exactly what this means in terms of time I am afraid it could be the in the region of 2/3 years.

Now that things like this really get me irked. It reminds me of the football season ticket scenario but not on such a large scale.

I got my "invite" through last year after 3-4 years waiting. I decided not to take it up though. Just didn't add up when I looked at what was available and a chat with a friend who had decided not to renew his membership sealed it. Seemed like they are trading heavily on "exclusivity" to justify the cost. The bumpf didn't even spell out the quantifiable benefits. If you need to ask "how much?" and all that...

Not at all. My wife and I have been members for 3 years and it's worth every penny, as long as you make use of all the benefits...

There's not a club like it anywhere else.
