I'll have you know my great great grandfather twice removed was once welly wanging champion of Lower Upham in the days of the leather clad wellies.

Do we know if the wellies are Dunlop, hunter, aigle or another brand?

This could have implications on wanging technique.
As you say, the balance and weight distribution are critical, I'm not going to reveal any of my data on the various boots, needless to say I'll have my full 3D data collection equipment with me for a quick pre wang scan.

Does anyone know if Goodwood will be following the World Welly Wanging Association rules?

Also about technique I was out practicing yesterday and found throwing it like a discuss ended with the best results, is this allowed?
I'm surprised and somewhat shocked that a persoin might think it acceptable to wang in a discus fashion.

Whatever next.

I'm going to do half an hours wanging practice tonight, see if I can get close to my PB.

Can anyone confirm if the Wellies will be supplied by Goodwood or is this a 'BYOW' event?
I've never heard of a BYOW event, as far as I know all calibrated wellies for competition are provided by the British Association of Welly Wang Promoters.

I find 65% Humidity to be ideal; much above 70 and the boot starts to perspire.
A chum who lives nearby says the going is good to firm.
