Do yourself a favour and buy a cheap kiddies paddling pool and a 500g bag of citric acid off the bay (about 6 quid)

Fill the pool with just enough water to cover the frame and dump the citric acid in. A day later all that rust will be gone and your decals wont have been touched thumbup

There is no rhyme or reason to what happens with old school BMX prices, I sold a Mongoose frame on eBay for far more than I expected but you sometimes get absolute bargains. Modesty permits me from divulging what I paid for my Team Aero Pro Burner but it was considerably less than what I've spent on my current Ultra Burner build.

Edited to add: I sound a little smug there, I should say that I also ended up paying far more than I meant to for another Mongoose (BlackBerry should block eBay mobile when you're in the pub).

Brilliant collection, certainly brings back fond memories, here's mine from back in the day, just after I'd finished putting it all together in my bedroom! in early/mid 80's I guess.

Holy crap ! and guess whats sitting in that box of bits I mentioned earlier... yes.. one of those as well

I thought the GT may attract more attention for it's providence and when restored etc.... but the KZ1 and it's bits has me bit stunned, roll on the restore !

Thx for tips on getting rid of the rust - will be back in due course with restoration plans, bits pictures (stop it!) and keep rummaging for other juicy pieces, there will be a serious amount of stuff (80's vintage VANs anyone ?)

Bloody ell, brought back some memories.
Apologies in the delay.

I had an all Yellow PK Ripper, yellow Skyway Mags, CW Probars etc. Very rare in this colour a PK Ripper.
Wish i still had it.
I sold it in 1986 to the family of a kid i used to babysit for. He still owns it and won't sell it me back to me!!
