i wonder how many bike shops sell 84 jerseys in a week and a half
The thing is, Rob, I reckon it's got a lot to do with how you've run it this time Being very strict with the time scale, and using bank transfer instead of cheques has railroaded people into making their decision, plus you've been the driving force, and the "take it or leave it, but don't come crying to me when you lose out" line must have got a lot of bottoms off the fences they were sat on.
Another benefit is that you already had a core of customers from those that missed out on the original run of this design. All in all, I think you've done a grand job of streamlining the process, which was also helped by having the design in place already. I think many may have dropped out last time when they didn't get their design ideas included at the 'committee stage'. Now they are realising that the dream of having it as a stock item in the shop is never going to materialise, they've put aside their doubts about the design and are looking at this as possibly their last chance to get a PH jersey.
I didn't need a new jersey, as I bought a couple extra last time, but on behalf of everyone who did, I'd like to say "well done". Much like the cycling weekend, this jersey thing isn't something you take on lightly, but you've taken it on and got it done. Excellent work.
Cheers, Rob!

kind words. so far though all i've done is collect a lot of money…..Being very strict with the time scale, and using bank transfer instead of cheques has railroaded people into making their decision, plus you've been the driving force, and the "take it or leave it, but don't come crying to me when you lose out" line must have got a lot of bottoms off the fences they were sat on.

see ya, suckers!!!!!
seriously, the order with owayo is going in on monday. i spoke to someone there last week. they really don't make it hard to place large orders, so that is great! i should get a eta for delivery then as well. Captain Answer has very kindly offered to help out in producing all the address labels which he will then post to me.
all i have to do is make sure the right size shirts go to the right people. how hard can that be? the regus office i work at will be on the case sorting out registered post and giving me tracking numbers (or whatever it is you get when you have to sign for a delivery). it should be a 2 - 3 day delivery turnaround and i intend to email out tracking numbers individually to their recipients so that they can be assured of a safe delivery.
with any luck shirts should be with their proud owners after shortly after easter

Rob, if you're feeling charitable, drop me the details and I'll pay tonight. If not, no probs.
Cheers
