Any other suggestions on actions to take.
Banks (on both sides) informed
Police informed...
Passed on details of the fraud to 'buster jack' to help prevent future fraud hopefully.
I'd like to break his legs, but of course I'd get arrested for that.

There is a real Joe Mitchinson in Wigan - I know of him anyway. That said, he doesn't live in that area of Wigan. There's every chance that the scammer has picked someone real on the offchance that you'll search on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram.
Yeah, i've found him but dont want to potentially blindly blame someone who could be innocent. I called him the other day and asked a few questions - seemed oblivious enough so let it go.Fastpedeller said:

In truth the only action is the police.
Maybe...... there's another way! What you need to do is pull a scam on him - There must be some way to pull it off, and what poetic justice it would be.Pinkbike seems unusual. I remember selling a SX frame to someone in Scotland as immaculate (it was). He emailed me post receipt saying how amazed he was. Was expecting it to be highly subjective.
I was flabbergasted. Why send £600 into the unknown if your expectations are that low? Apparently pinkbike was targeted by scammers and some bullstters. I always aim to meet/collect on there. Never post unless it's PayPal with a long conversation on messaging before. Good luck OP.

anyone got access to electrol register info?
I've done some basic google searching to see why lives at the address, but cant find anything unless I go through a pay site. Its an option, but seeing if the info is freely available makes more sense.

I'm always wary when the sort code shows the bank's branch is far away from the account holder!
Leicester vs. Greater Manchester
Really? Leicester vs. Greater Manchester
I must be one of literally millions of people in this country who first opened a bank account whilst living at home with their parents, moved away after Uni and never changed their branch. Why would I?

Yep, even when you do update your address to the new area and change your home branch mine still has retained the original sort code!I must be one of literally millions of people in this country who first opened a bank account whilst living at home with their parents, moved away after Uni and never changed their branch.
