The "Photos From Today's Ride" thread...

Had a fantastic ride out today! The sun was shining, the breeze and temperature both in the low teens, spring, has finally arrived!!!
I decided to turn right today for a change and I'm so glad I did, the change in scenery was most welcome

Managed to pick up a puncture just before Clopton, twas the smallest sharp thingy I've ever pulled out of a tyre and was so small and light it blew off my finger before I could really see what it was or take a picture!
I wasn't particularly pushing it today but I still managed a few PR's including a segment that I previously PR'd during the Tour of Cambridgeshire (https://www.strava.com/segments/4927498) which was in a group and with a tail wind! Today's was set solo with a cross wind! For me this is a reassuring testament to the time invested on the turbo trainer etc. so I'm quite chuffed! (Still not good enough for a place in the top 500 but it's what I'd call a proper segment, out on the country roads with many, many attempts by some very talented, experienced riders!)
I also stopped for a moment at the Kings Cliffe Airfield war memorial, a poignant reminder of the true cost of our freedom and a sad reflection that we still have to defend ourselves against extremism some 60 years later...

Nice ride around the New Forrest, not been down there on road bikes before. Pretty exposed in places so glad it was mild with light winds.

How are you getting on with the Propel? I remember the thread you started when you were looking to purchase.
I really wished I'd bought one of those. I'm not a fan of any of the current Propel colours schemes.
Sadly the only way I'll be able to get one now is a used bike on Ebay and they always fetch strong money too

I'm loving it, thanks! It isn't great on UK winter roads, will post a pic later showing how much cack accumulates between the front wheel and fork, and if you don't keep the area round the brakes clean it can all seize up and cost money. Apart from that, I'm still really proud of it, I keep it cleaner than any other bike I've had and I really enjoy riding it. I know what you mean about the colour schemes, not many of this year's line up are as nice. Although, having a white frame around the rear brake really shows up the muck!
