Totally unexpected, but I have a magazine
I too got a magazine this morning. Blimey, I thought, perhaps the website was wrong after all. So I opened it and saw they'd also put a little slip inside the cellophane that read "Dear Loser, you can't ride but here is a magazine full of pictures of people who can" Or some such wording.SixPotBelly said:

I won't be bothering with it again, I'm sure I can find somewhere else to ride instead. It'll be interesting to see if a few of my friends who have had entires to the past two manage to get in again.
Odd defeatist attitude if you don't mind me saying, its a simply lottery, they are not personally insulting you because a computer chose someone else :-)It is a good event (albeit nothing like a sportive or closed road race) its a free-for-all event like the marathon, pros and noobs rubbing shoulders with all the drama that brings but it is worth putting your name in the hat since its costs nothing to enter the ballot and riding 100miles through the nations capital on closed roads is pretty unique experience IMO.
I have paid for my charity place now and had it confirmed as I have been rejected from all my personal entries ( I did 3 ).
Does anyone know the best way to sort accomodation out for the two nights in London - are there certain hotels that will put on an early breakfast and are they happy for bikes to be left in bedrooms etc?

Never had a hotel bh about a bike, frankly they are no dirtier to carpets than a push chair. You'll be done by some point before 2PM, 2 nights needed?Does anyone know the best way to sort accomodation out for the two nights in London - are there certain hotels that will put on an early breakfast and are they happy for bikes to be left in bedrooms etc?
