On the way home this evening I started thinking a pair of oars would have been a good future purchase!
I was over the axles on my 29 er last night, grinning like a nutter, riding through the Thames. smile
How so? Is there a ford somewhere?

I've decided I will sell it. What do you think a fair price would be?

I'd have been interested if it wasn't a compact.
Stick it on ebay it should go WELL over a grand.

It was a particularly high tide, and around Richmond-Under-Thames seemed to be where it combined most with a low tow path. At the Boathouses in Putney it was level with the road. I'm glad I carried on though. Lots of fun!

hehe You have two?! yikes I'm wondering how other cyclists and drivers are going to react to it hehe
On-road it's a matter of remembering to keep the head one down, but off road it terrifies foxes at 200 yards biggrin
Thanks to doing a bit of looking round, and you two buggers egging me on, I just dropped £43.97 on this:

3800 Lumens

Which should be enough... I also spotted this on my journey through ebay-land:

6500 Lumens !!!

Quite the "dog walking" torch. One for the Christmas List. yes

hehe

Finally collected my bike on Thursday. I have been amassing plenty of gear the past few weeks in preparation including jerseys, shorts, waterproofs, etc but eventually, i have the bike to put them all to good use.

Well following today's ride I will be adding a new tyre, a decent pump and a new middle crank ring, the bd is I'd had a biggish service done 2 weeks ago... What is definitely on the list is park tyre boots.

Middle ring has bent teeth, the rear tyre went spectacularly with a rock right through it deflating spectacularly in split seconds with a sound that made me think the rear shock had failed.

I think you can use it on 1, 2 or 3 of the bulbs, so one MIGHT be appropriate for road use...

all change this week. shuffled the collection around a bit...

hanging on the wall in the kitchen is now a giant tcr advanced 2 with a set of de-logo'd planet x 50mm carbon wheels, some vittoria evo cx tubs, and a rather flash set of rotor q-rings.

the cinelli 'pro best of' has gone to live with my brother for a bit.

the full carbon 'winter bike' has just been treated to a set of carbon integrated bars/stem. just waiting for some new cables and bar tape to turn up before i can get it up and running again.

I'll post a picture when I get it. I suppose a resourceful chap should be able to get it to fit. Get one bought...

I meant the 6000+ lumen hand held lamp biggrin

I've already succumbed to the new light thing last month when I bought one of these, which is essentially the same thing you've ordered I think.

http://www.torchythebatteryboy.com/p/fluxient-3x-u...

Great bits of kit and more light than you'll ever need. Well, until someone splits the head unit and battery pack of the afore mentioned lamp and turns it into a bike light biglaugh
