The "what bike bits have you just bought" thread
Discussion
Despite being off work and the bike with a broken femur I'm still spending money on bits:

New saddle as I was swapping one between my Tarmac and Master, likewise the pedals.
New stainless bottle cage for my Master and a new Cinelli cap.
And finally some new lightweight tubes for my new wheels which have just I been built and will be picking up once I'm back on my feet - Archetypes on DT240 20/24 with CX-Rays. Noice.
Need a new cassette, ti skewers and chain for the wheels so will get those idc.

A nice new Giro lid to replace my old Giro. In that blue as per the link.

Will have a look later. I have SKS Raceblades. Fine on the back, but I just can't get it to work on the front and I've tried cutting the guard and making spacers out of modelling clay and it still won't fit properly. 20 quid-ish, 10 mins to fit and highly effective IME.
The bike actually has eyelets for proper guards, but I wanted the clip on ones, so I could use them with other bikes in the future. Turned out to be a waste of time

I've ordered another Finisterre merino base layer not strictly cycling related, but I've been wearing my existing one out on the bike a lot this winter.

They're great if you have the clearance, but will take a lot more than 10 minutes to fit, particularly the first time. If you've not seen them being fitted before, it will take you at least an hour. Once they're built then you can remove and re-attach pretty quickly. I take mine off in the Spring and refit in Winter. Takes probably 20 minutes or so.20 quid-ish, 10 mins to fit and highly effective IME.

The footage from the chest mount was crap, but I think that was more down to user error and forgetting to account for leaning forward whilst riding the bike. Most of the footage is of my knees.
I didn't take any footage using the bike mount, but I will next time I'm out, I was quite pleased with this picture though:

I dont know if you are talking about GoPros, but when using a chest mount, mount the GoPro upside down with the hinge at the top which allows it to be angled upwards. There is then a setting in the GoPro to flip the video.I didn't take any footage using the bike mount, but I will next time I'm out, I was quite pleased with this picture though:
