rofl Mine only has 1800 lumens and hurts my eyes, I hope you're not planning on using that on the road hehe
I think you can use it on 1, 2 or 3 of the bulbs, so one MIGHT be appropriate for road use...
I use one on the road and yes you can run it in 1/2/3/flashing although the flash setting tends to stun dogs biggrin

I live oop north, so the warmth would be welcome TBH. It's bloomin freezing at the moment and even the roads are an inch thick in mud thanks to Farmer Palmer. To give him his dues though, he's kindly tried to restore the grip lost by the slick coating of mud by liberally spreading the roads in Hawthorn from this seasons hedgerow cull.

I'm going to treat myself for Christmas and get the Ultegra Di2 6700 group set. The whole shebang is about $1500 online or does anyone have a better deal they know of?

Looks to be from a Swiss company, supposedly £907 with shipping according to Google Shopping:

This should be handy:

ui2 front mech - 133
ui2 rear mech - 148
ui2 shifters - 190
battery - 65
prices from rose bikes because I havent heard of the Swiss palce and dont know anyone who has used them. You may get it cheaper from bike-discount.de

i'm sure you can source whatever else you need through various websites or good local shops but thats pretty much the fundamental electronic bits for £550. i dont know too much about what comes with what regarding U/DI2 but assume the shifters have the wiring fitted at the factory and the battery comes complete with moutning kit etc?

For £1,275 you can buy the 'complete group' from Wiggle, which seems to include everything, down to the cassette/chain/brake callipers.

http://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-ultegra-6770-di2-g...

For £1180 Ribble do a 'configurator' whereby you can buy the whole groupset for that price, or tweek it so that you only buy what you need.

http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/gsd/road-track-bike/...

For £900 you can buy just the wiring, the shifters, mechs and battery from Ribble, ideal if you already have a full Ultegra group.

http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/groupset.asp?action=...

Be careful when ordering, as there are two options for the wiring, internal and external, plus all the usual choices regarding crank length, chainring size (standard/compact), and gear ratios on the cassette.

Thanks chaps. I had the same "ding" moment that you had then Tony hehe. Rather than upgrade to a new bike which would be a shame because I've got my current roadie dialled just right I'd rather go full group and for the price it's a no brainer. What I love about it is the auto feathering of the front mech which is worth the money alone! I was tossing up either SRAM red or a Campy group set but the Di2 really tickles my gears!

Agreed, the auto feathering is awesome biggrin I find myself flicking through gears when I don't really need to though hehe

Aybee what is the PC component? Can you program multiple shifts and stuff?

The sound the auto trim makes always puts a smile on my face.
The best part of the Di2 groupset is definitely the front mech. Absolutely effortless, firm shifting. To be honest I could live without the electronic rear mech but the front will always have to be electronic.

Just checked. And indeed you can do the following.

Shimano Ultegra Di2 PC Connector SM-PCE1

PC Connector (SM-PCE1): This handy little device will allow you to connect your Ultegra Di2 bike to the E-Tube Project software through a PC.

One end connects to your PC through a USB plug. The other end plugs directly into the Ultegra Di2 wiring system.

This will allow you to:

1. Customize your shifter button function

2. Diagnose problems in the Di2 system

a. Diagnose the entire system when plugged into the shifter’s auxiliary port

b. Diagnose an individual part by plugging directly into the component

3. Update the firmware in your Ultegra Di2 components

When you purchase the SM-PCE1 you will also receive a User Name, Password, and website address to download the E-Tube Project software. This information is included in the Service Instructions.

The diagnostics tool is 250 pounds, so probably not worth it unless you are running a bike shop.
eta..Dura ace is 250, ultegra 150.

Haha me too. Don't get me wrong I love old school cool but this is just brilliant. My pet hate is fiddling with cable tension to keep shifting smooth.
