Latest retro build, 94 Colnago Master Olympic

After 3.5 years I’m retiring my trusty Norco trail bike and going full enduro. Just bought this Transition Sentinel 160mm/140mm 29er. Completely night and day compared to the old bike with its long, low and slack geometry. Should be a missile on the fast and steep trails.

You’ll be looking for bigger trails! I’ve got a 2019 t130s and it flies over my local trails compared to my older Rift zone.

Decided that, after a good few years away, it is time to get back into riding.

Picked this up today. Carbon frame, Hope brakes, Fox forks etc etc. Including fuel for the 240 mile round trip it cost pretty much bang on £700, which seems a bit of a bargain, even if it is a few years old.

Definition2 frameset, Wheelsmith 45mm on Chris King hubs, Ultegra DI2, Deda Superleggero seatpost, bars and stem, Fabric ALM saddle.

Will be getting the fit right this evening on the maiden ride - bars need to come down a bit, not sure on saddle position

Dropped my bike and fractured the frame in Feb this year so whilst it was getting repaired I decided to have it repainted. I didn't really like the matt finish of the original.

My J.Laverack ultradistance bike, set up for the National 24hr TT Champs (once the chain's put on the big ring, anyway). Rolling on the new Parcours Disc-Disc and 77 Chrono Disc wheels. I'm loving the mix of round Ti and aero trimmings.



I've done long stuff before but never anything at this pace, relentlessly for 24 hours. I don't really know what distance I'm capable of but I suspect my digestive system will be the limiter rather than the legs. I'll be 'gramming the build-up @darren_franks but won't be posting anything myself during the ride obviously. I'm on of the last riders away, launching at 14:21 tomorrow. Not the only PHer in the competition either.

I'm planning on riding over to the course on Sunday morning (need to double check which part you'll be on) to marvel at the speeds, so you might hear a Gruffy shout

It's a do-it-all bike, that's for sure. You'll get some funny looks from the ULTRAMAXXTREEM AERO crowd, no doubt
