or the next, or next....

9 years after the last Op i developed a degenerative meniscal tear which necessitated an arthroscopy and repair by a nice chap called Andrew.

He says its properly fixed this time and will be as good as new. Bit of a recovery ahead but should be back to sport in 6-8 weeks then its GAME ON!

have fun out there chaps smile

Excellent - by the time I get a bike again you & me both will be fat (fatter, in my case) knackers with zero fitness!

Should be an interesting winter...

... first day back in the saddle. Managed an-ever-so-gentle 90 minute loop round the charterhouse in the mendips this afternoon.

Feels great to be back, though i have to be careful at this stage not to overstress the ol knee.

I remembered something today: biking is fun isn't it?!!!

Glad to hear that you are back in the game.

Maybe see you at a PH Cwm Carn event over the Christams holiday if anyone can be arsed to organise one.

Gah! Bloody typical... you're back in the saddle and now I'm firmly out of it due to having my appendix mercilessly torn from my body by some doctor...

I had something done that sounds very similar about 5 years ago. I was swimming pretty soon after to keep the fitness up, just pushing off the wall at either end with my good leg, and doing front crawl.

I also watched all three of the extended versions of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy in one day. Which was nice.

Get well soon dude!

I was just going to say it could be worst and you could have done it in the summer. Then realised that you are back on the bike. Must be nice to be back.
