I am doing this again this year, all money raised goes to a local charity.

Anyone else doing it?

That looks interesting.

I'm mulling over the possibility of riding the third stage of the TdePH on that day, but if I can't make that work, then this one in Farnham is a doddle to get to, a short ride there and back, bracketing a 70 mile spin in what I already know is a brilliant area for riding.

I like the way there isn't any pressure to raise a minimum sponsorship amount, and how the sign-up page gives a suggested minimum donation, but has plenty of scope to give a fair bit more.

I imagine I'd need to make a decision soon though. Kelly's in Farnham, no transport or logistical issues? Or PH in Cambridge, with all the associated negatives of public transport and getting there in time to depart as a group?

The attempts to persuade me to travel to Cambridge have stepped up a gear. The wife has now suggested I stay over in Cambridge on the Saturday night, which is a fairly surprising turn of events, given her track record of moaning when I mention cycling at weekends. I can't think why she'd want rid of me for an entire weekend.

Rest assured, if I don't go for the TdePH, then I'll nip over to Farnham to join the Kelly's Challenge. I'd also be kitted out in a PH jersey.

Did you do the 70 last year and if so how busy was it ?

I've ridden the other Farnham Charity 50 a couple of times but sadly won't be able to make it this year which is a shame as they've upped it to 70 with a run down to Butser Hill.

Tempted by this as i'm aiming for a 100 miler this year. Will run the decision up to the wire as i've been off the bike for a bit feeling rough so will see how things improve and what the weather does.

I'll be under the radar if I do ride it as it looks doubtful that the Freeride jersey will arrive in time.

This is the first time that Kelly's have done 70 miles, know the roads well so it should be nice (weather dependent)!

I might make it along to this, not got a ph jersey but there is a ph sticker on the back of the bike for those using my corpulence as a windbreak.
