Cwmcarn Evening Ride - Monday 3 August
Discussion
This is hidden in the depths of the MTB - Afan / Neath thread so I thought a bit more publicity may get others interested.
I am up for going and Pablo and Timbo48 have expressed interest.
Anyone else fancy it?
Pablo / Timbo48, can you confirm yet?
We will sort timings once it looks like it will happen.

i'll be there barring injury or something equally unpleasant.
assume the plan is a lap of the twrch trail http://www.mbwales.com/en/content/cms/Centres/Cwmc...
timings wise, it might be best to work backwards, i imagine it will be too dark for the final sections of singletrack than 2130 so would guess to meet in the car park for 1800-1830?
i'll be in a blue clio...

Good idea, I see where you're coming from but errr, it doesn't take 3 hours to ride a lap of twrch!!!!!!assume the plan is a lap of the twrch trail http://www.mbwales.com/en/content/cms/Centres/Cwmc...

See you then...
Just so happened that i ended up riding Cwmcarn on Thursday after work with a couple of Brissle boys...
With a 7pm starting to ride time it is just possible to get round without lights, would suggest parking not in the main carpark as the gate is locked at 9pm. We had a couple of mechanicals on the way round - one of the boys decided his mech and spokes wanted to cuddle up, so we didnt get down till 9.15ish. Fortunately the warden guy had shut the gate but not put the padlock thru the lock so er were able to escape - phew!!!
In other news i have broken my toe but it seems to be quite happy in my riding shoes so see you there

Sorry about not making it, down on The Gower with no network conection so out of touch and then split an alloy rim on the car and spent three days sourcing another, easy when your on familiar territory but not so easy when you're not. Just goes to show how reliant we've become on the www. Anyways, I did manage to get up to the Penhydd on Thursday morning, good fun it was too, except for the long climb up to Desolation, which seems to get further and steeper every time I ride it. Hope you had a good ride anyway.
