It seems that Pearson are moving into the old Prologue shop on the Upper Richmond Road/ East Sheen High Street.

A sign has gone up today saying 'Bike sales, bespoke fitting service, cyclist cafe and workshop'. It looks like they will use some of the adjacent pedestrian square for bike parking, so I can see it being a popular cafe for the Richmond Park riders at weekends.

Good move on their part but I wonder how it will affect Prologue in their new, smaller shop a few doors down?

I think cyclists are quite habitual. They will have their go to shop for stuff, and I don't think many deviate from that unless something big happens!

Personally I think they'll both do alright, but time will tell I guess?

I like the idea of the cafe, especially if they serve food with a benefit to riders (which I assume they will)

To be fair I think Garlick might be on his own there.

Not many bikers stop for pasta or shakes lol. Cake and energy bars is about as far as it goes.

And even then they take the short cut across from the Sheen roundabout up to the Pen Ponds Car Park and Down to Robin hood gate and still claim a full lap times close to Mr Millar's!biggrin

Or no laps at all - just lots of new, clean gear.

^

This is me.

Ride to shop (3 mins from home), rub dust off bike, sit with shake and cake looking like a pro.

Might talk of my time in the alps too, or when I rode to France for fun (and was home for tea)
