How close could you get to an all English road bike?
Discussion
We can only opt into our company cycle to work scheme once a year in April, so I have a little time to think about what I might like to get.
One of the thoughts I was having is how close I might be able to get to an all English-made road bike? There seems to be a reasonable choice of frames, and Hope certainly do road bike hubs, but what else is out there?

Spec as above, but stem, seatpost and QRs are much nicer than their hope equivalents IMO.I had a Pashley Pickle Tricicle which was said to be all English. Loved it.

Bearing in mind the cycle to work scheme is more than likely £1000 limit for the whole bike, £200+ on handlebars is a bit excessive!
Sorry, should've said. My employer fortunately has a consumer credit licence, so they let us spend up to £2k.Not of course that I would ever contemplate spunking that on a bike in one year and then coming back and upgrading components in the following year!
