I spent Sunday on my trusty Claud generally getting muddy and wet, but on the way home it suddenly started making a grating noise from the rear brake. Had a quick look while out on the trail, but couldn't see anything wrong with it and after taking the rear wheel off and putting it back on again everything seemed fine. Annoyingly, the next time I hit the back brake the noise started again, so once again off came the back wheel and putting it back on again cured the noise. As I couldn't be bothered stoppnig again I rode the whole way home without touching the back brake (which was interesting to say the least barrel-arsing onto roundabouts carrying waay too much speed hehe ). COuldn't see anything obvious when I got home, but this evening I thought I'd take a proper look.

After about 10 minutes poking and prodding I suddenly stopped and noticed what was wrong -

How the fcensoredk could I miss a sodding great big bolt missing????

Aargh, that's going to involve popping down Edinburgh Bike shop Thursday. banghead
