Hi all,

I have my Lapierre Zesty 314 for sale on STW, Bike Radar and Gumtree but no-one seems to be biting. It's only been ridden once and basically as new and I'm selling for about £600 off list. Is this not cheap enough? Are there any other sites that would be better?

Thanks

Unfortunately, even though it's hardly been ridden, first year depreciation on pretty much any off the peg bike is between 40 & 50%. After that it settles down to around 5-10% per year. The main reason for such high first year depreciation is the end of season sales that most bike shops have around October when next years models start arriving. If I was to look out old MTB magazines from last year between Oct and Dec I'm sure I would find 2010 Zesty 314's going for around £1,800.
It's going to be painfull but I'd suggest dropping the price to £1,300, maybe less. You would also be better off stripping the bike and selling all the parts separately. You do tend to earn more that way.

Okay thanks, had some interest at the price I mentioned above so we'll see! Also, size is L (50cm). I'm just 6ft and it fits me fine
