Been looking at one of these in black, brand new for less than £1000 with straight handlebars. I am not a name person just looks very good for commuting. Any comments before I commit? Thanks.

If you want hub gears, something like this:

In my very subjective and personal opinion, car and bike brands do not mix well.
The idea of a Ferrari cruiser bike with a chainguard fills me with horror.

Especially when it looks dreadful and weighs a ton!
Edit - Alternatives(fit slicks if you like):

As a rule avoid any Car Company bikes like the plague.
There are better bikes for a grand, unless you've got the matching Car and you're only riding it around the race / track day paddock you'll look a plonker, and even then....
Wiggle were selling Charge Dusters for £800 recently (they still might be) it's techically a mountain bike but only a set of slicks away from a Hybrid really. Flat bars, hydro brakes with a nice smooth 100m suspension fork and ultra reliable 8 speed shimano hub.
