Sheffield MTB Parkwood Springs?
Discussion
Afternoon
So I find that I've got an overnight work trip to Sheffield tomorrow and was wondering if it was worthwhile taking the mtb on the train so I can have a ride round Parkwood Springs in the evening? Only a couple of km long but I hear that it fits quite a lot of entertainment into that distance.
Is it worth the hassle of the bike on the train or should I just go to the pub?
Thanks

Where is your hotel?
Good "natural" MTB loops aplenty from Hunters Bar - approx 1-2km from the city centre
A quick starter would be the following Ive just randomly pulled from Strava (not mine):
https://www.strava.com/activities/290545475
Theres probably better local knowledge on this site as the above does have a cheeky footpath section but as I remember its easily extended depending on how much time you have
Cheers

Try Greno and Wharncliffe Woods, about 5 miles north of Sheffield

with the trails just refurbishd.

Morning
So I decided to embrace my inner Jimmy McNulty and brave the badlands of Parkwood Springs. After somehow navigating across the maze of the city centre I rode up Rutland Rd at not far off walking pace and found the route. Did a few laps and didn't come across anything dodgy - a bloke walking his dog and some lads playing football at the top. Maybe I was lucky but a nice facility to have in a city.
