WD40 Vs GT85 etc

Sorry, perhaps this is a bit of a daft question:

Now that the weathers picked up (famous last words) I'm going to give the bike I use to commute on a proper OCD, erm, 'detailing'.

Have got the right sort of stuff for degreasing the drive train, lubing the chain and some grease for the bearings but was wondering what's best for the general stuff. I've been away/injured for the last month and there's a bit of surface rust on some bits - where the spokes meet the rims, on the chain rings etc.

Need a new tin of WD40 anyway but see most places carry GT85 as well I was wondering what you use.

Cheers, the chain is in a right old state but have some proper degreaser and some dry lube for it.

Will be replacing the whole chainset at some point soon (hopefully) so just want to get it clean for the next month or so.
