Heart rate monitor

Im on the look out for a heart rate monitor, Not looking for a top of the range but just something that will do the job. Ive found this http://polar.fitnessmegastore.co.uk/polar-297/cycl...

and think it looks a good buy and it has the cadence on it aswell which is a bonus for me. Any views on this or any other recomendations ?

Im now looking at the ones that are like a watch and can be mounted on your handle bars. Its a bit confusing as there are so many to buy. If i were to spend up to £300 ish what would be the best one to buy, Or do the cheaper ones still do the job just as well ??

Thanks all for the views. I went to my lbs and got the garmin 500 and it seems like it does everything and more. Just looking forward to getting out and using it
