Any Jamis Sputnik riders here?
Discussion
I'm looking at getting a decent singlespeed in Jan for my daily commute. It will give a rest to my trusty Giant FCR, and will be a low-maintainance bike that will bring something different to my riding style.
I'm currently drawn between a 2010 model Kona Paddy Wagon and this new Jamis Sputnik which I've spotted on the Evans website. Haven't ridden either yet, but the Jamis seems decent for the price (currently on sale at £360) and will need less doing to it. I don't do drop bars, so I'll swap to some bullbars, and I'll want a 46t crank, which the Jamis has. The Kona is a lovely looking clean bike but I'll need to change the bars, brake levers, and get a bigger front ring, all of which adds to the cost.
I'm aware of the other usual suspects, Langster, the various Charge models etc, but I think it's down to these two. Any advice appreciated....

Cheers for the opinions chaps. Well, I took the plunge today and ordered a 57 inch Sputnik. I haven't even seen one in the metal yet! Thinking about it, I haven't actually test-ridden any of my last three bikes!
It's a decent looking piece of kit, and it'll be nice having a singlespeed in the arsenal. It'll also be something different from the sea of Langsters and Plugs in London. I'll give a further report in a few weeks when I have it.......
