House Insurance, does it cover bikes in garage?

Hi,

Quick one, does house insurance normally cover bikes locked in a garage? and is a standard garage lock ok?

I'm thinking of upgrading my bike to one worth quite a bit more, so need to know if I need any additional cover.

I will look up my cover, but if anyone has an ideas please let me know
