Test And Tune Day.
Discussion
Hello Ray !
That was a really expensive & stressy way to start the season,
I hope the c(r)ash & work don´t prevent you from hitting the track again soon?
Maybe you used all bad luck of 07 on this T&T already,
so it can only get better ?
After all, you still kept it on track even with zero vision of the tarmac,
better than the unlucky guy in his VW who crashed & rolled it.
We had a "Public Racer" in a twin turboed BMW 5er,
the old one with the hood opening rearways (usually all beemers opened forward).
He did some "test driving" on the Autobahn
and his hood flipped open @ 170 mph, completely destroying the bodywork & car.
Cheers for 2007, still, from
Benni

I was well pleased with the day - I won Plank of the Day award for forgetting to do up the Dzus fasteners on the hood and sustaining nearly a grands worth of damage, then later in the day I picked up Twat of the Day by "losing" the support lorry keys for an hour only to find then sitting in the ignition of the new generator after having half a dozen people searching for them for half an hour
Gutted.
Gutted.
Sorry to hear that Ray.
You going to have it sorted for Easter?

Yeah, windscreen get fitted tomorrow morning (should have been yesterday afternoon but after "losing" the keys it was too late to get it done), the hood is strapped up with gaffer tape and can be used although if I can get it done this week I will.
Be out again for Easter
A set of golfclubs is looking more attractive by the day

And the back luck goes on..... How did the converter feel? How did you run(apart from the "hood" incident?) Good to see Simmsy and Wilf break into the 8's and Alex oh so near. What was the startline like? rest of the track?
Might even start calling you "the hood" this year...LOL

Its like a little black cloud following me around
The converter felt great, just like it used to. Didn't run any gas through the engine but I think its back on track.
First run was ok until 2nd gear and 5000 rpm when the engine just lost power - down to a clogged fuel filter. Cleared that and went back out, thats when the hood went at around 100ft but it felt good until then.
Yeah, I'm dead pleased for Wilf and Al, just got to join them now.
I thought the startline was OK but I was on MT Street Radials still, so was Wilf I think. Alex ran a new pb so it can't have been that bad although I heard a few people griping about it.
"The Hood" - it has a ring to it but I ain't getting my head shaved!!
