Euro Finals - Friday night top fuel
Discussion
It looks like the aim is for evening qualifying again this year. I think this approach has been used for four years now and it was only the first year that I can remember good performances (I think Chris Andrews ran his first 3). Last year there were no fuel cars.
If conditions are marginal again will racers risk damage to out on a show?

Tend to agree. SPR have made a lot of great improvements in recent years but I don't think Friday night Top Fuel qualifying is one of them. It's usually too cold in September and the number of times I have heard "dew point" mentioned in recent years tells me that they should re-think this. Personally I would rather see Q2 mid-afternoon when we have better conditions and more likelihood of seeing fast and consistent runs.
Other than that, can't wait. Also, it's a little frustrating that there are no Swedish TF entrants this year. Can't ever remember that at the finals and I have been going 40 years. Is this just due to attrition from Tierp, or something else?. Any racers out there with an opinion?.

Agree with this especially when the weather can be temperamental at best & this Saturday looking dodgy, and if there's downtime during that session then they run the risk of not completing it and then what? If Bartlett and SP want the attraction of a night show like Hockenheim then do it like HockenheimSaggyOstrich said:
It seems to be, lots of records tumbling but I have also heard mixed views from some of the drivers saying they're struggling with the new track.
I think it's working better for the cars with more power for sure.
I suppose people will complain if they aren’t running well, but numbers don’t lie. You don’t set European records on a bad track....just got to get the tune right I guess! I think it's working better for the cars with more power for sure.
Outstanding performances weren’t limited to Anita, but Johanson and Ålund in pro mod along with a few brits, the Habermanns in Top Methanol, Fast Fil in TFB, Kent in Funnycar are ones that stood out for me
